Meet the Team – New Graduate and Fashionista Patricia Sutherland

Thu, Dec 3, 2015

Patricia Sutherland joined CSG on Veterans Day this year and brought a fresh whiff of fashion along with her organizational and writing skills. She describes herself as “very girly” when it comes to fashion, mining Pinterest and Cosmo for the latest trends, plus watching news and entertainment for what’s hot. If she were a brand, she would like it to be Kate Spade – style with personality.

Thanksgiving: What are you Thankful for?

Tue, Nov 24, 2015

Let the winter holidays begin! Thanksgiving is right around the corner and it’s all about spending time with the people you love, counting your blessings, and most importantly EATING! I know days can get busy and stressful at times, but when was the last time you reflected back and realized what you’re thankful for? Just take a moment and sit back, relax, and list your top ten things that you are thankful for.

Here are my ten things I’m thankful for:Thanksgiving picture (1)

  • My family – for providing support and love.
  • My good health – for enabling me to do what I want to do and live freely.

Meet the Team: Emilie Udell – Red Alert!

Fri, Nov 13, 2015

CSG has taken a dangerous step . . . we just hired a second redhead, designer Emile Udell! She seems very restrained, so far, but we’ll stay on guard for a while. Her hashtag is a comfort to us, though: “Keep Calm, Ginger On.” And the only thing she’s confessed to us is that she has a Pug obsession and can’t stay away from silly dog videos – that is not a bad thing around here.

She took a brief break from work so we could chat about her interests, goals and inspirations after she had been at CSG Creative for just a few weeks.Emilie

Meet the Team: Mrs. Tiffany “Ball”

Mon, Oct 19, 2015

Our latest meet the team star is CSG’s Production /Traffic Manager, Tiffany Crawford, who recently was voted NTP’s employee of the year by her peers! Four the past four years, Tiffany has been invaluable to all of CSG’s staff and clients as she supports everyone and their projects. Her excellent organizational skills keep our production schedules moving and her creative skills produce unique and cost-effective direct mail ideas to enhance our clients’ direct mail campaigns. Tiffany meet the team

I had the opportunity to sit with this Washington DC native—a rare commodity in this town—the other day to get to know her a little better and was pleasantly entertained, not unlike the queen of entertainment herself, Lucille Ball. Here is a bit of our conversation.

A labor of love.

Thu, Sep 3, 2015

Happy Labor Day! I remember as a young lady being either really excited, or a little sad, by the Labor Day weekend — and I never knew which I would be until the weekend arrived. A reunion with girlfriends, the end to summer boredom and a chance to see the cute boy I was crushing on definitely made me happy, but the prospect of schoolwork and the endless chore of raking leaves around our family home always generated a few frowns. download

Meet the Team: Our Flying Ace, Wendy McCool Lewis

Thu, Aug 27, 2015

Wendy McCool Lewis isn’t just a smart girl with a pretty face, she also has the best name of anyone in our company. She has been with CSG since January of 2012 and works as a Senior Account Executive with some fun clients such as The SHOT Show, the International Boatbuilders Exhibition and Conference, AFIRE, and the National Association of Chemical Distributors. I sat down with Wendy and pried some personal information from her so we could all get to know her better. Here are the highlights of our conversation.

Meet the Team: The Heidi Chronicles

Tue, Jul 7, 2015

Heidi Aulakh, a nearly 5-year veteran of CSG Creative and our Director of Client Service, has a secret weapon when it comes to client service (around here, that means everyone – association colleagues, vendors and, ahem, us – her fellow CSGers). Well, it’s not really a secret: it’s the giant smile that radiates all day. We occasionally use it to toast marshmallows. This past week she turned it down a notch so we could chat about her journey to CSG.

How did you launch your career? Heidi meet the team cropped

Independence means hot dogs to some and fireworks to others.

Wed, Jul 1, 2015

The 4th of July is the perfect holiday — a sunny mid-year checkpoint, a celebration of our national independence, and one of the few times each year you can compete in a socially-acceptable hot dog eating contest. 8ee8e3d869146fca0b10b19e30599322In preparation for our country’s birthday, I’ve realized the focal point of my July 4th excitement has changed over the years.

What’s your Irish IQ?

Tue, Mar 17, 2015

The other month I took one of those DNA tests to see where your ancestors most likely came from in the world. I was pretty much a hard core Celt. The Celtic people come from Ireland (and surrounding lands). A smidgen of a few other cultures can be found coursing through my veins but those Irish roots are strong in my family. So on this feast day of St. Patrick where the Irish shake their heads at their American friends who celebrate their holy day in typical American fashion–with food and drink and everything not associated with the actual meaning of the holiday–I salute all who desire to be part of the Irish clan.

Introducing Jeanne Fackler (or Jeanne Jander That Was) to the CSG Team

Thu, Mar 12, 2015

One of our newest Account Executive is delighted to have made a comfortable landing into CSG Creative. She’s just pulled off an intense few years of transitions, juggling education, jobs, moving from Chicago and giving up her single status. Yes, she got married on October 11, 2014, and is now Jeanne Fackler (neé Jeanne Jander). I asked what her favorite part of being married is so far, and she jumped in with “not having to plan the wedding anymore.” Understood. It has been a period of achieving her bucket list: A new life, new job, new home and new car – that’s a lot of “new” in a short time frame. But she’s up to it; she is, after all, a manager of projects and is used to having a lot of tasks in the air at once. And thanks to good planning, everything has gone without a snag except, possibly, for the nachos on her wedding dress. But that’s another story.
